Diane Madlynn De Semina Gordon, 67 passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Diane was born on February 20, 1953 to Ann Scorpiniti and Charles De Semina. Diane grew up in Iowa with her sister Nancy Lee and began working at the age of 17 at the United States Post Office. Diane eventually married and had two children, Shawn Gordon and Alissa Gordon, whom she was extremely close to and proud of over the years. She remained employed at the USPS in Des Moines, Iowa for 39 years until retiring in 2009. She enjoyed working with so many great people and missed them greatly after retiring. She spent her retirement staying busy with ceramics, beading, stamping, creating jewelry and many other crafts over the years. She enjoyed cooking homemade Italian meals and "making revinas" which included getting the best deals while shopping for hours. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved decorating for holidays. She was blessed with one grandchild, Caleb, who quickly became the light of her life. Diane is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Lee Tracy, and parents, Ann and Charles De Semina. She is survived by her children, Shawn Gordon and Alissa Gordon; grandson, Caleb Fiedler; and brother-in-law, Rob (Ann Steger) Tracy. Funeral arrangements have been postponed until Spring 2021 due to the global pandemic.
