David Vance Price Williams, Jr.

David V. P. Williams, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa, 67, died on July 28, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his son, David V. P. Williams III of Des Moines, his two sisters, Debbi Linhart of Pittsburgh, PA and Betsy Wallisch of Amherst, NH, as well as by aunts, cousins, a nephew and 4 nieces; he will also be missed by many friends from Lynchburg, Va, his childhood hometown, and Des Moines, Iowa—especially his friends from the Central Iowa Computer User Group and friends from Jethros BBQ in Altoona.

David was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and later moved as a young child to Lynchburg VA. He received his BS in Engineering from UVA and his MBA from Drake University.

For many years he worked at TALX/Equifax. He retired in December 2018.

He is well known for his computer and technology skills and was President of APCUG- Computer Club. He is also well known for his quick humor and offer to help anyone.

Given the conditions at the time, there will be no service. Friends and family will be notified of anything in the future.
