David John Dulaney October 19, 1943 – August 26, 2025

David John Dulaney, born Oct 19th, 1943, in Rock Island, IL, passed away at home on August 26, 2025, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was driven and creative, curious and humble. His love of people, different cultures, and architecture inspired many travels around the world.

Dave had many accomplishments throughout his life and career as an architect, including being a founding partner of RDG. However, his greatest pride was the family he created. His children always felt and knew his unconditional love, and he played an active and integral part in his grandchildren’s lives. His playful spirit and endless creativity made him the “fun” grandpa and great grandpa. His life was a success, no matter how you measure it.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Lou, his children Donna (James) Lukenbill, Tom (Monique) Dulaney and Mike (Dina) Dulaney, seven grandchildren, Susan (Austin) Podowski, Joe (Alex) Andreano, Nicole Lukenbill, Andy (Sam) Dulaney, Will Dulaney, Kelly Dulaney, Sean Dulaney and seven great grandchildren, Lucas Andreano, Jensen Andreano, Presley Podowski, Easton Andreano, Connor Andreano, Parker Podowski, and Thea Andreano. He also leaves behind beloved siblings, Donna Mullinax, Joan Collins, Dick Dulaney, Gary Dulaney, and Bill Dulaney. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Roe, and brother, Steven Dulaney.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
