Daniel Mundy

Daniel Michael Mundy was born on August 10th, 1981, in Des Moines Iowa.

Daniel passed away suddenly at his home in West Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, at 9:30pm. 

He is survived by his wife of 7 years Christina Knox, his uncle David Oxenreider, cousin Bo Overton, and many close friends he considered as family. 

Daniel was preceded in death by his Father Michael Mundy, and just recently his Mother Earleena Mundy, whom he was very close with.

Daniel was an auto mechanic, and his passion was working on cars.

He was also a self-taught handyman and could find a way to fix just about anything. 

Daniel enjoyed building different types of RC vehicles, going fishing and mushroom hunting, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on.

He was a wonderful cook and loved to make meals for his friends and family.

Daniel's most enduring quality was his unique sense of humor.  He was a tough guy but had a kind heart.  Daniel was able to touch so many lives in his short lifetime and was loved by so many.  He still had so much yet to offer and losing Daniel so early is truly a tragedy.
