Christopher David Engelhart, 35, passed away in Des Moines, IA on July 22nd, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Christopher was born on September 30th, 1986, in Cheyenne Wyoming to Cindy Penman and Brad Engelhart. As a child he loved to play hockey, baseball, and basketball. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as his dogs. He especially loved being with his grandparents, Joyce and William Engelhart and has reunited with them in heaven. He graduated high school in Watertown, South Dakota and attended Des Moines Area Community College. He also enjoyed biking and music and being his mother’s caregiver. Christopher was a very gentle, kind soul with a huge heart. He had his struggles but found peace with his immense love for the Lord. He loved his family with all of his heart and would have done anything for them.
Christopher is preceded in death by Joyce and William Engelhart, his grandmother, Janet Bosworth, grandfather, Richard “Dick” Bosworth, aunts Karin and Sheri Bosworth, cousins Aarin Kulesa and Nathan Engelhart and his fiancé, Bailey Eginoire.
Christopher is survived by his mom, Cindy Penman; father, Brad Engelhart; sisters Michelle Engelhart and Ashlyn and Alex Keltner, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; aunt, Cassi (Chad) Bosworth; and many other family members.
He will be missed by so many.
