The daughter of Margaret Holdefer (Krietinger) and Howard Holdefer, Barb was born on June 18, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Colfax-Mingo High School, went on to DMACC where she was a basketball cheerleader, and got her degree in child development. She had three beautiful children; Teresa, Stephanie and Justin, with her first husband Joel Sage. She later married Jake Miskimins.
Barb worked in the service industry and loved the jobs where she was able to converse with customers and ask them how their day was going. She was kind-hearted and enjoyed putting a smile on a stranger's face with her infectious personality. Her passions were making memories with family, taking care of her flowers and plants, cooking, nature walks, donating and the Green Bay Packers. She was very creative and could turn any place into the most beautiful home. Spending time with her kids and grandkids were her happiest moments.
Those left to honor her memory include her father, Howard; three children, Teresa (Tyson) Kuhl, Stephanie (Lance) Moorman and Justin Sage; six grandchildren, Trey Kuhl, Samantha Rist, Mandi Rist, Meghan Bright, Robert Moorman and Jacob Moorman; sister Kathy Lamb, brothers Rick Dunn and Tony Holdefer. Preceding her in death were her mother Margaret and a brother, Jim Dunn.
