Our Mother

How is it that we never saw your wings when you were here with us? When you closed your eyes and soared to the Heavens we could hear the faint flutter of your wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side your spirit here eternally I see your halo shine. We close our eyes and see the multi-colored wings surrounding us in our saddest moments and our happiest times. Mother our angel God has given you your assignment always our mother forever our angel. You fly into our dreams and when we are asleep We feel your wings brush against our face wiping away the tears we shed since we can no longer hold you in our arms but in our hearts. You earned those wings dear mother and you will always be our angel eternal.
