Pazza Lexann Lisac

Pazza Lexann Lisac, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by love.

Pazza was born on July 7, 1954, in Carroll, Iowa, to Paul and Joann Oxenford, who preceded her in death. She spent her childhood growing up in Des Moines and Waukee, Iowa, where she was a cheerleader during her high school years.

She dedicated her life to caring for children. After studying Early Childhood Education in college, she worked as a preschool teacher before opening her own in-home daycare, where she lovingly cared for countless children and their families over the years.

While she found joy in her work, nothing brought Paz greater happiness than being a mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she embraced motherhood with unconditional love, patience, and devotion. She especially cherished cheering on her son, Nolan, from the baseball fields and her daughter, Cameron, from the soccer fields, creating memories that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Pazza had a gentle, nurturing spirit and was always happiest when she was caring for others. She treasured the friendships she shared with her beloved Friday Friends and found joy in the simple moments spent with the people she loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Cameron Spain and husband, Nick Spain; her son, Nolan Lisac and wife, Amanda Lisac; and her treasured grandchildren, Parker Sean Spain and Madden Mae Spain, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Paz will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and in the many lives she touched through her compassion and care.

Her family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her sister, Paula, whose extraordinary devotion, kindness, and loving care over the past six years meant more than words can express.

They also want to thank Brio of Johnston for their incredible care and love shown over the years.  

A celebration of life will be held at Legion Park in West Des Moines on Friday, October 2nd from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
