Natalie Wakeman-Metcalfe was born February 17, 1966 to Jo Anne and Donald E. Fortney. She passed away suddenly on April 9, 2021. She is survived by her husband James Stuart Metcalfe and special daughter Sarah Beth Wakeman. She was preceded in death by her father and her son, Stephen Brandon Wakeman. She graduated from high school in Muscatine, Iowa. She married K. Culhane (Wakeman) in 1986.
She received her Bachelor of Business Arts in Economics from the University of Iowa. She later married Jim Metcalfe on September 6, 2013. She was employed at Mediacom as a supervisor in West Des Moines from 2011 until her death. She had almost completed her Master’s Degree at Drake University. Natalie especially enjoyed traveling and getting together with her many friends. She had many lifelong friends spread all over the country. She was a blessing to her family and she loved them dearly and she loved her dogs.
