Kathleen Kay Morrow

Updated: Feb 2, 2021

Kathleen Kay (Ryan) Morrow was born on July 18, 1955, in Holdrege, NE, to William and Berdena (Hammond) Ryan. Kathleen received an AA Degree in Business Administration – Accounting from Norfolk Junior College in Norfolk, NE, and a BS Degree in Business Administration – Accounting from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. On August 14, 1982, she married Martin Morrow at Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE. Together they raised two daughters, Crystal and Kelli.

Kathleen practiced accounting and founded her own business designing custom jewelry while she and her family lived in Lincoln, NE, Akron, OH, Muscatine, IA, and Des Moines, IA. Kathleen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and compassion for others. She was a proud breast cancer survivor, and on January 27, 2021 went to her eternal home with her Lord after a hard-fought battle with brain cancer.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother Berdena Ryan (2020) and dear friend Judith Wiegle (2019). She is survived by her husband Martin Morrow, daughters Crystal and Kelli Morrow, father William Ryan, brother Raymond (Julie) Ryan, sisters Patricia Ryan and Christine (Jeff) Utter, and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and beloved friends.

We have received a number of questions regarding flowers or contributions to a memorial or a charity, and those questions are very much appreciated. To be honest, Kathy’s illness came so quickly to a person so young that she and I had never discussed this. After giving this considerable thought, Crystal, Kelli and I would like to ask those who want to give a gift to consider giving to a family in need, or a local charity, or a ministry of your choice in your area. We are sure that Kathy will be pleased with your individual acts of kindness.

There will be a virtual memorial service for family and friends on February 2, 2010, at 7:00 PM CST.

here is a link to the order of service if people would like to follow along online. (Please click on "here is a link" then the blue google link)
