Edith Mae Davis, was born on October 31, 1940, in Polk County, Iowa and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2026, at The Village in Indianola.
On March 8th, Edith was taken to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer. Edith was an ordained minister and would minister to any and all who would listen and spread the Lord’s word. She volunteered at the food bank at Lee Town for many years. She also loved playing cards with her sisters weekly. Edith loved to brag on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s accomplishments. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her children Teresa (Jerry) Woolery, Jerry (Holly) Fazio, Andrea (Tom) Bianchi, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Judy, Pat, Janet, and Ronnie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Audrey Sonnenberg, and siblings Jeanie, Donnie, and Jerry Lee.
Services for Edith will be held at a later date at Sunset Memorial, where her ashes will be placed with Bill Davis, her late husband. There will be a luncheon after the service.
