Betty J. Williamson Albaugh Bent

Betty passed away on Sunday, December 20th, 2020.

She was born January 13th 1933, to Glen Williamson and Gladys (Maxwell) Williamson in Elkhart, Iowa, and grew up on the family farm. She was baptized as a teenager. Betty graduated from Elkhart High School, she married Danial Albaugh in 1953. They farmed in Ankeny, IA and raised 4 children. Betty later moved to Des Moines and then Adel, IA. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for 25 years.

She raised lovely flowers and plants; a real green thumb that could make any plant grow! She enjoyed embroidery and many in the family have pillowcases that she embroidered. It was a sign of reaching adulthood when you finally got an embroidered pillowcase for Christmas from her. Betty missed the farm in her later years, she got great joy from riding out into the country to check the crops out. We spent many a Sunday afternoon touring the countryside the last few years. She was happiest when family would come to visit.

Left to mourn her absence are her children, Jean Sawyer (Tony), Santa Rosa, CA, Debra Fuller (Kelly), Adel, IA, and Phillip Albaugh, Pioneer Town, CA, 6 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Preceding her in death are her Parents, Brother, Ralph Williamson and Sister in-law, Eleanor Williamson, Son, Edward Albaugh and Daughter in law, Kathy Albaugh.
